I have lived in San Diego since 1956.  I attended Clairemont High School and UCSD.  I completed my undergraduate degree at UCLA in 1974 and received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1979 from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  I practiced general dentistry in San Diego for four years before leaving for my residency in Periodontics in 1983.  I have been practicing periodontics in San Diego since graduating from my residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1985.  I have witnessed and have been a part of some of the greatest advances in dentistry and especially in periodontics during the last 26 years.  The specialty of periodontics and dental implant dentistry are dynamic in that advances are continuously being made.  To keep up with the many changes in my field and in dental implant dentistry, I am continuously taking courses and seminars.  The emphasis of my continuing education has been on regeneration of lost supporting tissues, placement of dental implants and periodontal plastic surgical or esthetic procedures. 

I am an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Western Society of Periodontology,  the California Society of Periodontists and the San Diego County Periodontists.  I am also a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society.

I have been blessed to have assembled a wonderful group of assistants, treatment coordinators and hygienists.  Everyone has a unique personality and collection of attributes which makes our office a positive, enjoyable place to work.  All of us in the office share a common goal and remain focused to exceed the expectations of our patients in caring for your needs and providing clinical excellence.

I have lived in Pacific Beach for the past 32 years. I have enjoyed seeing my children grow up into young adults in this community.  When I am not in the office you can find me water skiing, snow skiing, sailing and camping.
